Welcome to the GarageLab course "Design Thinking for Students". With this course we want to bring the Design Thinking methodology closer to your classrooms. This is a tool that will allow you to reinforce the processes of creation in classes and will also allow you to be the real protagonists of your learning.
Course in video format, aimed at the families of people with autism, consisting of 12 capsules of about 12 minutes. Showing the basic uses of smartphones and tablets and associated apps for communication, leisure, school learning, time management, self-regulation and self-determination and other areas of interest, as well as tips on setting up and protecting these devices. All this, in an easy going way, designed to introduce the enormous possibilities that technology provides to people with autism.
This course aims to make it easier for entities and schools to adapt their classrooms in line with the process of methodological change being experienced. Through analysis of different best practices in the design of classrooms and learning areas, teachers will be able to have some guidelines in order to improve the quality of their spaces, as well as manuals to design and build pieces of furniture for their classroom with their students.
This course reflects on the importance of motivating students, so they become aware that they can do everything they set out to do, and to change certain perceptions they have of themselves. Strategies are designed in the classroom to generate motivation in students. This aims to make students understand the benefits that learning can bring and what skills they possess in order to achieve it.
